2010 Day of Caring!

 

Our first Day of Caring activity will happen on August 28th in Ellensburg.  There will be a day of service, followed by tailgating at the CWU Wildcats first home game.  Check back for more details in the coming month.

 

Washington Fruit & Produce Presents Day of Caring

On Thursday, September 9, 2010 we will kick off the 2010 Campaign with a 9 a.m. breakfast at the McDonald's on 40th Avenue in Yakima. Last year's school supply drive was so popular and met such a great need, that we will be having a school supply drive again this year.  A big yellow bus will be on site to hold all the supplies donated. Sponsors are Washington Fruit & Produce, Coca Cola, Alegria & Company, Joel's Tire, McDonald's and Key Bank.  After breakfast there will be projects throughout Yakima County for work groups to provide service to agencies and their clients.  Start putting together your team now! 2011 Community Investment Volunteers Needed 

 Are you a United Way donor?  Would you like to learn more about the organizations United Way supports?  You have the opportunity to make decisions on agency funding and how United Way dollars are spent when you join a Community Investment panel.  Participants must be available during weekdays in late May to early June, and have an interest in improving our communities.  Volunteer positions are available in Kittitas County and Yakima County.  For more information email tysa@uwcw.org .
