2nd Annual Celebration of Caring

United Way of Central Washington held the 2nd Annual Celebration of Caring event on March 23, 2016 at the 4th Street Theatre. Awards were presented to both business and individuals, honoring the efforts of the volunteers that contributed to the success of the 2015 United Way Campaign. More than 500 companies and more than 12,000 donors throughout Yakima and Kittitas Counties support their communities by contributing to the success of the United Way fundraising campaign.

“Campaign volunteers, led by Chair Tony Klein, put a tremendous amount of work into our community’s fundraising drive,” said Mark Todd, United Way of Central Washington’s President & CEO. “Business leaders from all sectors once again demonstrated a deep commitment to helping people and nonprofits. Our participating companies and their employees truly embody the spirit of our caring community.”

Tree Top Inc. again received the campaign’s top award, running the most successful employee drive. More than $1.5 million is raised annually through United Way's workplace campaigns, and invested by volunteers in effective local social service programs.
